Podiatry at The Old Post Office Clinic is provided by Joanne Casey (MChs, BSc Hons.) of Aldred Casey Podiatry. Joanne graduated in 2002 from Southampton University with a Bsc (Hons.) degree in Podiatry. She is currently a member of the The Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists and holds registration with The Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC). Since graduation Joanne has worked for several NHS Trusts across London and the Home Counties. She started to work in the private sector in 2004 whilst continuing to work within the NHS and this is still her work pattern today.
Aldred Casey Podiatry is the business name that Joanne started in 2007 when she took over a caseload of patients from Jean Cotterell, a podiatrist who had grown a successful business in the North Oxfordshire/ Buckinghamshire area. The 'Aldred Casey' is a mix of both her parents surnames. It is a tradition within the family to attempt to keep on her Grandfather's name.
Joanne is a keen and enthuisiastic podiatrist with an interest in the field of diabetic foot disease where she has worked as an Advanced Podiatrist since 2004 in both Primary and Secondary Care settings. Today, Joanne works part-time at the Internationally renowned Kings College Hospital London within the Diabetic Foot Clinic and she is working towards finishing her Masters degree at The University of Brighton, reading Podiatry and Diabetes. Joanne moved into The Old Post Office Clinic in 2011 in order to establish an integrated health centre for the local community. She endeavours to provide a calm and welcoming environment where patients and the community alike, can receive specialist advice and health care.
